Please join RTC:Rural and our expert panel at this free virtual summit! Together, we will explore the intersecting forces shaping the future of home health care.
Drawing on data, research, and boots-on-the-ground experience, we’ll examine challenges such as inconsistent funding, barriers to rural delivery, and shifting labor protections, while also highlighting strategies for growth and resilience.
The summit will include an RTC:Rural presentation of existing research and a
panel discussion on factors affecting the rural direct care workforce. Panelists will include:
- Stephen McCall is the Director of Research & Evaluation at PHI, where he leads the organization’s applied research to improve the quality of direct care jobs and long-term services for older adults and people with
disabilities.
- Janessa Mosley is the State Director for Consumer Direct Care Network Montana | South Dakota, where she oversees their large, self-directed in- home care program.
- Shyla Patera is the Policy Peer Program Coordinator at North Central
Independent Living Services, Inc. (NCILS), a nonprofit Center for
Independent Living that serves four counties in Montana, including
operating a self-directed personal assistance program.
- Jana Walker Hall is the Community First Choice Services (CFCS) Program Manager and Independent Living Specialist at North Central Independent Living Services, Inc. (NCILS).
- Lillie Greiman is a Project Director with RTC:Rural. Her research has
explored the geographical distribution of resources across the US,
including the ratio of personal assistants to those needing home care.
